Your consultation is a relaxed walkthrough of your outdoor space. It’s a chance for us to get to know you, hear how you currently use your yard, and understand what’s working—and what isn’t.
We’ll walk the property together, talk through your ideas, and explore what you’d like your space to become. Along the way, we may share initial thoughts, possibilities, and considerations, but the focus is on listening, observing, and gaining a clear understanding of your goals.
Before we meet, there are a few things you can start gathering and thinking through to help frame our conversation:
Consultations are free for homes within 20 miles of the East Harriet neighborhood in South Minneapolis. For locations beyond that, a consultation fee may apply to account for travel time.
After your consultation, we provide a custom proposal based on your project’s scope, size, and level of detail. Smaller design studies may start around a few hundred dollars, while more comprehensive residential landscape designs typically range up to several thousand depending on complexity and deliverables.
Good design saves time and cost later in the process by helping clarify decisions early and reducing uncertainty during construction.
We’ll always talk through options together to find an approach that fits your goals and budget.
If you decide to move forward, we’ll send a design agreement and schedule a follow-up site visit to document existing conditions and gather measurements.
From there, we enter the design phase—developing a conceptual plan rooted in your design goals. We then refine the design into a cohesive plan that brings together layout, planting, and material selections to clearly communicate the vision in a buildable way.
Once the design is finalized, we can stay involved during installation to support design intent and respond to contractor questions as the space is built, helping ensure the final result reflects the design.
