A front and backyard landscape designed for everyday living and gatherings. Built around the client’s love of hosting, both spaces function as flexible outdoor rooms that support connection with family, friends, and neighbors year-round.
the design plan —Frontyard
The design transforms the front yard into a flexible outdoor living space centered on a communal fire pit that encourages connection with neighbors and friends. A canopy of mature trees provides shade and enclosure, while simple planting and hardscape create a relaxed, welcoming setting. Seating supports daily use and gathering, with a fire pit tabletop insert that functions as both table and fire feature.
the design plan—Backyard
Designed as an extension of the home, the backyard supports gathering, dining, and outdoor living. A fire pit area, pergola-covered dining deck, and bocce and horseshoe court create flexible spaces for hosting family and friends. The owners describe it as “more than doubling the square footage” of their home while bringing more joy, awe, and connection to nature into daily life.
