The Madison

A restored 1926 boutique hotel, reimagined to blend historic character with modern hospitality. The landscape design supports The Madison’s renewed role as a welcoming destination through a large front porch and courtyard that invite guests to extend their stay outdoors.

the design plan

The landscape design is organized around concentric arcs that create a strong sense of arrival and enclosure. A sweeping paving band and boxwood planting gently frame the space, while semi-circular stairs connect the porch to the courtyard and reinforce the project’s curved geometry.

Outdoor spaces should be lived in, not just looked at.
